1. What was your major/field of study during your time at Stockton, and when did you graduate?

Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. I graduated in 2001.

2. What is your current profession and what do you enjoy most about your job?

Founder/Executive Director of non-profit organization, Small Steps in Speech, a non-profit organization that provides grants and funding to children throughout the USA with communication disorders. Speech-Language Pathologist at Collingswood Board of Education.

3. What are some of your favorite Stockton memories – such as a favorite class, professor, spot on campus, or social event?

I have so many wonderful memories and it is so hard to just pin point a few. I still remember my P-Dorm and needing to check into a computer lab outside of our dorm because no one had their own personal computers/laptops in 1997! Of course I remember the famous Dick Berry, who taught my phonetics class with a strong Boston accent. He was one of my favorite professors. Professor Berry led the way for us students to attend the ASHA Convention my senior year in D.C. I also loved Atom Man Universe with Yitzhak Sharon- a complete genius! I could not end without giving a shout out to my lifelong friends that I still consider to be my rock to this day that I met during my time at Stockton.

Next Grant Application Deadline is May 1st!

May 1, 2016 is the next deadline for applications for funding for speech and communication therapies by Small Steps in Speech.  You may download the application and send by either mail, email or fax.  http://www.smallstepsinspeech.org/grant-application/individuals/.  Through a partnership with CASANA additional funding is available for children with Childhood Apraxia of Speech.  Prompt Institute provides funding for children treated by a Prompt certified SLP.  For questions, contact info@smallstepsinspeech.org.
