On the beautiful sunny morning of August 7th, we were happy to welcome over 550 runners and walkers who gathered to participate in the 2nd annual “On Your Marc” run/walk. We started this event in memory of our brother and son, SSgt Marc. J. Small, U.S. Army Special Forces, who lost his life in Afghanistan in 2009. It was a joy to experience 1100 sneakered feet as they took big and small steps in honor of Marc and to raise over $30,000 for Small Steps in Speech (SSIS).

We would like to offer our sincere gratitude to the staff of Lower Providence Township who partnered with our family to produce this event. In addition to the 550 participants and 75 volunteers we would like to also thank the many sponsors and in-kind donors who helped to make this event such a success.
