Congratulations to Small Steps in Speech for a successful 2011.  So many children and families were given the gift of increased communication.  Thank you to the many many people who have financially supported SSIS through direct donations, United Way donations and participation in fundraisers.  Without donors and supporters, SSIS could not do the work they do!

I found out about Small Steps in Speech from a parent partner (now friend) in the Toledo, OH area. Our son is 3.5yrs old and non-verbal but with the help of Small Steps in Speech we are working on vowel sounds and he now is saying by-bye and trying many other sounds/words! This is such an amazing thing you are doing for families! The amount of speech visits we get through Health Insurance isn’t nearly enough when you have a kiddo who doesn’t speak! If there is anything I can do from across the state please don’t hesitate to ask!

I came across this site looking for resoiurces for my 5 year old son whom has down syndrome.  He is not speaking now.  At 2 years of age he had 30+ words and now he barely talks at all.

Came across your web site as I was searching for help for my three year old twin granddaughters.  They are not speaking yet and need therapy.  My Daughter is doing the GF/DF diet and searching for some help in financing a therapy program.
