On April 10th, the fourth “Try For Speech” rugby tournament was held at Millersville University in Millersville, Pennsylvania. Organized by senior student Chris Schultz, the event attracted dozens of students, who each made a donation to participate in the tournament. Male and female friends and amateur athletes got together for a great time and a great cause; all proceeds collected were contributed to Small Steps in Speech.
Chris and his players have held four fundraisers that have raised over $2,500 for Small Steps in Speech. Thanks to Chris!
An extra congratulations to Try for Speech and Chris Shultz for receiving the Millersville University Community Service Project of the Year award. Chris has put in a lot of time and effort into making this event successful and he deserves the honor. We at Small Steps in Speech are thankful for his support of our foundation.
