On August 6th, we were happy to welcome over 550 runners and walkers, who gathered to participate in the 3rd Annual “On Your Marc” Run/Walk. This event was started in memory of our brother and son, SSG Marc. J. Small, U.S. Army Special Forces, who lost his life in Afghanistan in 2009. It was gratifying to have so many people come out to honor Marc and to raise over $35,000 for Small Steps in Speech (SSIS).
We would like to offer our sincere appreciation to the staff of Lower Providence Township, in particular the police and fire departments, who partnered with our family to produce this event.
In addition to over 550 participants and 75 volunteers, we would like to also thank the many sponsors and in-kind donors who helped to make this event such a success.

We look forward to continuing this tradition for many years to come to honor Marc’s heroic act, to celebrate his life and to support the good work of Small Steps in Speech. Thank you again to all who participated and supported the 3rd Annual On Your Marc 5K Run/Walk.
